Todd and Katie Sansom, Owners

Lauren was born and raised on Chincoteague island until moving to Greene county in 1996, she is a 2000 graduate of William Monroe High school. After graduation she moved back home to chincoteague where she reconnected with her friend from elementary school. 5 years later, they moved back to greene county and got married at the lafayette inn nextdoor to maybelle's on main. Lauren's husband, james, joined the coast guard and they lived in maine, oregon, michigan, and georgia. During this time they raised 3 beautiful girls and finally, moved back home to greene county. Lauren is a talented manager and barista who received her training at a couple of small coffee shops before having their children. Her favorite part of working at maybelle's on main is greeting our wonderful customers and getting to know them! Outside of work lauren enjoys puzzles, cards, her children (both human & poultry), & working outside!

Mya is 16 years old and gaining her first work experience with us while homeschooling for her senior year of high school. A former WMHS student, she has a brother in 8th grade and three furry siblings (two cats and a dog). She loves to read and go antiquing in Greene and has not yet decided what she wants to do after graduation. In the shop, she loves to write our chalkboard signs and her favorite drink is an iced mocha with EXTRA chocolate.

Katie was raised in Manasses where she was homeschooled. She graduated in 2018 and shortly after, moved to Charlottesville with her mother and sister. After a year and a half in Charlottesville they built and moved into their home in Stanardsville. Katie is a talented barista who learned everything she knows on the job! Katie loves meeting new people, and welcoming customers into our store. Her thoughtfulness, bright smile, and willingness to help out make her a great addition to our team. In her spare time she enjoys all things outdoors including biking, hiking, and running. Katie is an active member of her church in Charlottesville. Her goal is to become a volunteer EMT!
