Bubba's Sweet Nectar, LLC is a Central Virginia based honey company with branches in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The company is majority owned by Big Bubba, a Retired U.S. Army Veteran. Bubba's was originally started by two highly skilled Intensive Care Registered Nurses, whom are the closest of friends like brothers. Their brotherly nicknames for each other, "Bubba," was instrumental in creating a name for the company. The company is currently owned by father (Big Bubba) and son (Bubba Jr), 3rd and 4th Generation beekeepers carrying on the tradition since 1972.

We provide 100% pure, raw honey to our customers. Our honey is natural, non-pasteurized, non ultra-filtrated and does not contain additives or artificial preservatives.

“I like to think our story begins the moment we walked up the front steps to our new home, an old B&B in Virginia. My husband David had come out before us and then Hudson, Henry and I arrived from Texas with suitcases in hand. David and I were ready to dedicate our days to raising our boys in the country, running the business of our dreams and savoring the simple things.

We decided to pour these values and ideals into a business, with the dream that they could have some small impact on more people’s lives. I knew baking was the perfect medium, and I began infusing my recipes with the highest quality ingredients I could find, like big flake coconut, real maple syrup, crunchy sliced almonds and pumpkin seeds. After all, what better way inspire and uplift others than with an everyday treat like tasty granola?”

Small businesses are the heart of our communities. They not only create two out of every three new jobs in the private sector, more than half our workforce either works for or owns a small business. They pump vitality into our neighborhoods, making them vibrant places to live and work and raise our families.

We’ve had the opportunity to experience this vitality firsthand and it is clear from our interactions that all of these entrepreneurs truly love what they do. And their commitment to their businesses isn’t just about creating profit, it’s about creating communities.
